Health & Safety, Clear App, Waiver & Instructions
All onsite WE22 attendees, guests, and exhibitors acknowledge and accept the following health and safety statement. Those who are onsite and disregard these policies will be escorted from the premises. There are no exceptions.
Masks are optional at WE22.
As part of the entry requirements for the SWE Annual Conference, WE22, all attendees and exhibitors must complete a health survey and provide proof of full vaccination (full completion of first round of shots, boosters are not required) OR a negative COVID-19 antigen test (taken on or after October 14, 2022) in order to enter. SWE once again partnered with CLEAR Health Pass to provide easy proof of COVID-related health insights.
SWE will not require proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test for children 17 and under.
What tests are accepted? Any printed or digital test result from a lab OR an FDA approved at-home antigen test – you can view a list of FDA approved at-home antigen tests here.
What if my test is not accepted in the Clear App? While most antigen tests can be verified in the Clear app, not all can. Just use option number 3 (below) to enter the event by showing a printed or digital version of your test result.

Society of Women’s Engineers only receives confirmation that an attendee or staff member satisfied the requirements for access with the equivalent of a green or red result – and never has access to an individual’s private health data. For further information on how CLEAR protects user data, see CLEAR’s privacy policy here.

COVID-19 Health & Safety and Risk Acknowledgement
To safeguard the health and safety of all who attend WE22 in person, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will comply with federal, state, and locally-issued health and safety precautions, including the CDC’s Guidance for Events, as an integral part of the execution of the Annual Meeting onsite. These mandates are constantly evolving, and SWE will make reasonable efforts to ensure all registered attendees are informed of the final health and safety requirements and precautions that will be implemented onsite closer to the first day of the event.
While we have established preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19, and attending WE22 could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. By registering and attending WE22, you acknowledge that you may be exposed to or infected with COVID-19; that if you are infected, you may infect others; and that contracting COVID-19 may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or even death, both to yourself and to others with whom you may come in contact or whom you may infect if you become a carrier or transmitter of the virus.
You understand the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the event may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including the event venue, SWE, their employees, contractors, agents, exhibitors, and sponsors. You accept sole responsibility for this risk and agree to hold the event venue, SWE, and their representatives harmless for any injury to yourself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death) or others as a result even concerning such indemnified parties’ negligence. SWE, however, is not claiming release from claims based on SWE’s own gross negligence or willful or criminal wrongdoing.
As part of the entry to WE22, all attendees, staff, exhibitors, vendors, and guests will be required to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative PCR COVID-19 test via the CLEAR Health App or alternative forms of documentation (such as a printed or digital vaccination card or test result and valid form of I.D.). SWE will not require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for children age 17 and under. SWE, as a private event host, can and will set additional guidelines as needed. By agreeing to this policy, you agree to ensure any guests you register are fully aware of this policy.
